News 2006-09-28 Beta 3 With IMDB Support released. Check out files. 2006-09-28 DownUtube, is in the Top 100 Projects by Page Views list. It is now one of the top viewed projects last week. In this list, It is the 99th project among all of SourceForge projects (there are more than 100.000 projects in sf.net).  This is a happy day. Thank you everyone.... 2006-09-27 Oh man! IMDB is deep! It is much much more sophisticated than Google Videos, Yotube Videos and Apple Movie Trailers sites. It will take longer putting it into DownUtube. Apple Movie Trailers' site was a mess. But not much complicated. IMDB is tidy but it is another world :). And for IMDB trailers' download, I will be needing a stream downloader code (which must download rtsp,mms,pnm streams) which was written in C#, or can be used by C#(if that, cross platform capability is a plus) after the IMDB support is in DownUtube. Because only giving the links won't be appropriate. And using MPlayer, or other tools, for stream downloading will be odd... Any ideas? Otherwise, I have to write one, and this will take long long time :(.... 2006-09-26 DownUtube Beta 3 is out. No hard feelings :) DownUtube 2.0 is in Beta Release. I am glad that it is already being showed on some main program sites. But use it considering this: It is still in Beta, and only released for testing purposes. Now DownUtube is going for 13.000 downloads. It is good. Because DownUtube 2.0 is still in testing..... If I may, as a second thing: DownUtube 2.0 is only for Google Videos, Yotube Videos and Apple Movie Trailers. And IMDB support will be added when a non beta 2.0 released. It is not like Video Downloader add-on etc for FireFox, they are great but, DownUtube has other concepts, and different. That is to say, if you try DownUtube on some other sites (in particular using Link Search from Listings menu) , it probably won't work. But if it works, then it is good, but it hasn't been written to do so. I just wanted to say this... NOTE: If you want your site or any site to be shown and operated on DownUtube, you only need to implement WebBehavior class. You can download the source and look. 2006-09-24

DownUtube2.0 Beta 1 With Apple Movie Trailers Released
2006-09-23 When developing DownUtube: I was adding search capability to DownUtube for Apple Movie Trailers. But whenever I tried to get the search page, this error occured; "Protocol Violation Section=ResponseHeader". When I looked to ResponseHeaders, there was nothing. I was going crazy. There was nothing wrong. Soon I found this wep page. Saying, not including CR to header newlines causes this. I knew that in Apple computers, there was only LF. But in MS a new line is two character: CR and LF. But this is the web man!. And the standart says you must add CR and LF on http headers' new lines. But, it seems apple goes on his head. By the way, it do not gives any error on web browsers. That is interesting, too. Note: The error occured using WebClient when getting trailers search page.

2006-09-22 It seems, YouTube changed it web site code. There can be some list error in DownUtube. Will be fixed with the next release.
2006-09-22 DownUtube, will download the ITunes movies from apple, in the future. Even if Itunes have not installed. Not now, but working on it. At first I must release a non beta version :) For now, Apple com support seems OK, at least to me. There is something to do, though. Tomorrow, or this evening I can release a beta version version with Apple support. As you know, DownUtube, already supports Youtube and Google Videos. By the way, please help the translation. If you know some other language other than English, you can help. The language file for beta 1 is here. But DownUtube getting developed and many other words will be added. So after you translate, sometimes you can look the download files for added words. Usually for every release, at least 10 words is added. After you translate, your name will be on the program's about box. You can send your translated files to mfyuce at gmail.com (you must replace " at " with @).
